Special updates to “The Secret Of Making $2,970.00 In One Weekend Photography People and Pets”...

What’s ahead for 2010-2011?...

Hmmm... In the past, Entrepreneur magazine has listed children’s photography as one of the 12 hottest businesses in the U.S., with revenues well over a billion dollars per year, and Small Business Opportunities Magazine has listed pet photography as one of the “50 Top Boom Businesses to start at home.”

But what does the future hold?...

It depends on how you’re “positioned”...

According to Harry Dent, the leading authority on marketing demographics, the most robust market segment is the rapidly expanding affluent class — this group of people are snapping up higher quality products and services including high end photography.

And no, people getting digital cameras, won’t hurt this market any more than people with wrenches will affect the plumbing business — possession of a “tool” does not make someone a creative professional. Professional photography is still something special — for a long list of reasons — and people will want that service for the foreseeable future.

By the way, nearly all of Pam’s clients have nice digital cameras. In fact, I have consulted with some of them on what to buy and how to use it! We even gave a seminar attended by Pam’s clients on how to take studio shots at home. Yet they still use professional photography services.

A tale of two photographers,
which one would you rather be?

Would you prefer to be like the photographer the Denver Post wrote about who charges...

“$4,500.00 per sitting and averages six shoots a week (eight during Holidays). He has a steady flow of clients coming to his home studio.”
Or this one...

“I have been making my living as a photographer one way or the other for almost twenty years, and for the most part it has been a very lean living indeed. I have done weddings, family portrait photography, commercial photography and glamour shots. I know photography, posing, composition and I am a master at working with children and babies. But when it came to marketing and customer acquisition I didn’t have a clue. As a result, I am now employed as a studio manager for Lifetouch Portraits running a studio in the local JC Penneys store. What I am paid is just enough for us to survive on. Because of low sales volume, the company released thousands of coupons that give a free portrait session and a free 8x10. We are then supposed to sell the customers up to the more expensive packages. The customers are perfectly aware of this game and won’t play. People come in demanding Nordstorm's quality at PicandSave prices and become abusive if they don't get it. As a result our sales average is well below $50 per session.”

My guess is, you’d rather be
the person charging $4,500.00...

But, you probably don’t think you could ever charge that much.

Well, I’ll bet the guy charging $4,500.00 a session didn’t think he could charge that much when he first started out either.

I know Pam in her wildest dreams never thought she could charge $1,000 a session (like she does now and we’re looking to raise that up a bit!), when she first started out, either.

The trick to getting there? Getting started in the right market, with the right “business model” and specialty.

These are three of the key concepts you learned in the Secret To Making $2,970.00 In One Weekend Photographing People And Pets and the e-course, and the experience “photographer #2” is why those concepts are so important. You don’t want to get yourself stuck with loads of skill and talent, but no rewards for it.

In the Not Your Normal Photography business success course, we dive into all of this with great detail. So you can join join us in that multi-billion-dollar-a-year market Entrepreneur magazine called one of the “12 hottest,” but in the right way.

Rest assured the market for people and pet photography is huge and you don’t need to slice a very big chunk off a few billion to make a nice living.

And the ever better news is, the affluent market — right where you want to be with your photo biz — is booming!!!

If you’re ready to get started with your very bright future, enroll in the complete Not Your Normal Photography course now!

This is a great course. I’ve taken NYIP, PCDI, and several courses at my local college and none of these courses gave me the information Pam and Jeff did. I had been in the business of photography for a little over a year, and didn’t know why I couldn’t get people lined up to come to me. Now they are!” Thanks Pam and Jeff — Tiffany Johnson
